We are proud to present you the 9th DACT Barometer with the support of the respondents, the panel members, the DACT, Rabobank, and Projective Group’s Enigma Consulting. This year’s response rate was considerably lower than previous years, most likely because of a smaller time window at the end of 2022. Some 52 treasurers responded, giving us excellent insight into our themes. As professionals, we were excited to meet again in person at the office to work on the survey.
The key message of the DACT Treasury Barometer 2023 is that treasurers are looking forward. New opportunities and challenges have crossed our paths, and technology is presenting us with applications and innovations. Some even need to be put in place to meet regulations and cope with rising uncertainties.
While all subjects of this year’s Barometer are relevant, one theme rose to the forefront: the war on talent. With the Treasury department becoming more critical and sufficiently qualified people being scarce, this challenge will not be easy to tackle.
We especially want to thank Richard Fiedler and Tim de Knegt for lending us some of their time and expertise for the interviews. Also, the support group is thanked for their time spent analysing the data, the visualization of the results, and the IT needed to realize this Treasury Barometer.
We hope you enjoyed reading the DACT Treasury Barometer, and we are looking forward to your feedback.
